What vehicle symbolizes America more so than a pickup truck? Chevy recognizes that pickup trucks are important to American car buyers, and that’s why it has continuously worked hard to keep its Silverado and truck lineup top-notch.
As a result of the exceptional, long-lasting quality of Chevy trucks, both the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado and 2018 Chevrolet Colorado were honored with Kelley Blue Book’s 2018 Best Resale Value Awards. Of the top 10 vehicles on the list, there were seven pickup trucks, with the Silverado taking spot number six and beating out its top competitor, the Ford F-150. After 36 months of ownership, it still sells for an average of 57.6% of its original purchase price. After 60 months, it still retains a remarkable amount of its value, approximately 50.4% of its original price. With such great value retention, it comes as no surprise that the Silverado is the second-best-selling vehicle in the United States.
The 2018 Colorado ranked number eight on KBB’s list. After 36 months of ownership, it retains an admirable 60.5% of its original price, and 47.5% after 60 months. The Colorado was made all the more valuable in the 2018 model year due to its popular and endlessly-capable off-road trim level, the ZR2.
At Hirlinger Motors, we’re proud to provide our community with exceptional trucks that offer exceptional value.
