Chevrolet recently introduced the refreshed 2022 Silverado 1500. This truck features upgraded styling, new technology options, and improved capabilities for some of its engines.
Every 2022 Silverado trim comes with a new front fascia design that features lower headlights. Some models come with wing-shaped daytime running lights that have an animated lightning sequence that appears when you start the vehicle.
The 2022 Silverado also boasts an updated interior for LT and higher trims. It includes a redesigned instrument panel and center console that incorporate a 13.4-inch touch screen and 12.3-inch digital cluster.
One of the most significant updates to the Silverado 1500 is available Super Cruise technology. This is available on the High Country model. When activated, you can enjoy hands-free driving on over 100,000 miles of freeways across North America. You can even use this feature while towing.
Starting in 2022, the Silverado 1500 will come standard with the 2.7-liter Turbo High-Output engine. When properly equipped, this engine has a maximum trailering rating of 9,500 pounds. Another improved engine is the 3.0-liter Duramax® Turbo-Diesel. When equipped with the max tow package, it has an increased tow rating of up to 13,300 pounds. This is a 4,000-pound increase over the previous model year.
Perhaps most exciting, the Silverado lineup boasts a new off-road ZR2 trim. With the ZR2, you can expect rugged styling, a specially tuned suspension, and features like 33-inch all-terrain tires and a skid plate package.
The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is coming this spring to Hirlinger Chevrolet in West Harrison, Indiana, and we can’t wait to get you behind the wheel.
