New Technology, Safety, and Colors
The 2020 model of the Chevy Colorado will usher in the next generation for the mid-size pickup truck, but there will be a wide range of 2019 Chevrolet Colorado updates that are worth the investment. Here at Hirlinger Chevy, we’ve put together a list of the biggest changes for the 2019 Colorado model:
- Upgraded infotainment system. For 2019, Chevrolet MyLink is out, and the Chevrolet Infotainment System is in. Lower trims of the Colorado will get 7-inch units while higher trims will be upgraded to 8 inches and high-def.
- Other tech additions. The new infotainment system isn’t the only tech update in the 2019 Colorado. Chevy has also added a second microphone on the passenger side for the voice-command system and has implemented a new USB port setup, which includes two ports, an auxiliary input jack, and an SD Card Reader.
- Safety tech. For 2019, a new HD Rear Vision Camera is standard equipment on LT, Z71, and ZR2 trims. The Base and Work Truck models will get the non-HD Rear Vision Camera. Z71 trims are standard with Ultrasonic Rear Park Assist, which is available on Work Truck and LT models.
- New color options. Chevy nixed four colors: Wheatland Yellow, Graphite Metallic, Green Metallic, and Centennial Blue Metallic. New this year are Shadow Gray Metallic, Pacific Blue Metallic, and Crush.
